Located on 10 wooded and private acres, this poplar log-and-chink cabin offers our guests peace, quiet and lasting memories. The wrap-around porch, hickory porch swing, walking path, beautiful landscaping, and hot tub make the Great Escape a place to relax, reconnect and simply enjoy.
Situated between Hoosier National Forest and Brown County State Park our charming cabin provides a main level master king suite with a hickory bed, an upper level queen suite, limestone gas fire place, 2 ½ baths and beautiful furnishings, a large kitchen and seating area. Cabin comforts also include 3 satellite TVs, each with bluerays, ceiling fans in each room, and even a porch, with dining for 6. A large open loft with pool table and games overlooks the warm, cozy, great room with cathedral ceiling and oak floors. A comfortable pullout couch in the loft allows for sleeping up to 6.
Enjoy a glass of wine on the porch or by the firepit while watching the deer, listening to the owls or reading a great book. Our hope is that you will find peace and rest as you are able to simply enjoy time with family or friends in this special place we call The Great Escape.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES
#1 - Cancellations of a confirmed reservation must be made by the Guest who made the original reservation, not a representative of that Guest.
#2 - Reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to the arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total charges before tax, plus the $30 handling fee.
#3 - Reservations cancelled 8-14 days prior to arrival, you lose the deposit paid.
#4 - Reservations cancelled within 7 days of the arrival, there is NO REFUND!
#5 - When within 14 days of arrival, the reservation cannot be shortened or moved.
#6 - When within 7 days of arrival, reservations cannot be changed or altered. No exceptions.

RESERVATIONS
#1 - The remaining balance will be due 7 days prior to check-in and will be automatically charged to the card on file. If you want a different charge card used for this balance, you must notify us before this balance is charged.
#2 - Refunds are not issued due to inclement weather, snow or acts of God that are out of our control.

Hello----we stayed at the Great Escape cabin last weekend. Everything was great. Cabin was very nice. Both beds were comfortable. Loved having the three bathrooms since it was 4 girls spending the weekend.
An excellent, romantic get-away for one or two couples. The hot tub is one of the better ones we've been in, and the pool table upstairs is a great addition to this very clean, private, secluded cabin. We will be back.
This cabin is amazing! It was decorated nicely. Lots of space to stretch. Obsessed with the wrap around porch. Hot tub was relaxing. Only down side, was the directions we were given (said that gps doesn’t always work) were a bit confusing… and we ended up using gps!
This is a quintessential log cabin in the woods with wonderful walking paths to wonder down. Our family enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to anyone looking for this kind of getaway. The only downside in our opinion is the lack of WiFi availability.
If you are looking for a beautiful cabin that is relaxing and private, this is the place! We were welcomed with the lights on and music playing which we absolutely loved, as we arrived at dusk. There was plenty of seating outdoor and inside along with a set of cornhole boards outside. We used the hot tub everyday, and it was wonderful and very clean! The beds were comfy and the home was very clean and welcoming! We were with friends for our anniversary and we all had an amazing time! I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a private retreat! I really can't think of anything they missed in this home. If I had to make one complaint, it would only be about the fact you have to pick the key up at the office and also return it after leaving. Other than that, we will definitely book this cabin again!!

The cabin was awesome! Just as described! Very clean and a beautiful setting. The only problem we had is that we couldn't find the kitchen trash can! There was a nice wooden bin but we weren't sure if that was the actual trash can since there was no bag in it. So, we just kept a little bag under the sink.
