Moose Mountain Lodge
While guests of Moose Mountain may not see any moose in Brown County, they are totally likely to see plenty of other wildlife. Within the boundaries of the 100-acre property on which the three-bedroom cabin sits, there are birds, squirrels, raccoons, and deer a-plenty…so bring your binoculars and get ready for fun. The hilltop views are spectacular, whether you’re on the porch or enjoying a soak in the hot tub.
Moose Mountain is a spacious log cabin that offers a wood-burning fireplace in the living room , and comfy furniture surrounding it for your flame-gazing pleasure. Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and shopping…all entertaining activities available to you throughout Brown County…can really work up an appetite.
You’ll be thankful for the fully equipped country kitchen, with plenty of space and utensils to cook a family dinner for your hungry tribe. There’s a nice, big dining table to gather round for meals or board games. Two TVs with satellite service will allow movie buffs and sports enthusiasts to enjoy their favorites.
When night falls, everybody has a cozy bed to crawl into for that much deserved slumber. There’s a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, and one of the bedrooms features twin beds. Another bedroom also has a queen bed, as well. All bedrooms are on the main level, and a full bath, plus a half-bath means less “standing-in-line” time.
Well-behaved pets are invited to come along on the family outing…and there’s plenty of room to run on the very private and secluded property. So many new smells to investigate, your pooch will have a heyday!
We want to make our guests aware that Moose Mountain’s water supply comes from a well…and while it is perfectly fine to drink, you may want to consider bringing bottled water along for your stay, as not everyone appreciates the finer points of country well-water.
All our cabins have a 3 night minimum for Major Holidays.

I don't know that there is a better morning coffee front porch view in Indiana. The property and the drive to it is literally everthing nature has to offer. I'm an experience collector and this was worth collecting!
We are very glad you had such a great stay and enjoyed one of the best views in our wonderful little county.
Your personal touch is always so appreciated every time. Moose Mountain Lodge was wonderful but the views were outstanding for sunsets and sunrises...totally secluded and so peaceful! We look forward to our return to Nashville!
We absolutely loved this place. It is our new favorite. The views were wonderful. It was great to be able to take our dog. We will try to return next year. Thanks.
We had a great time, as always! Relaxing and beautiful!
Thank you for providing my family with beautiful memories! We will be back next year!
I called the after hours line last night to inform you I would be moving forward with the conversation we had. I really appreciate it! I dropped off the key in the front door slot. The place was beautiful and I can't wait to Stay again! This cabin brought me the peace my soul needs and I can't wait to do this many more times.
The location, cabin and yard were wonderful! we had a beautiful time.
Absolutely loved it! Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Thinking about renting it next fall. Love to see the fall view. 10 out of 10!
We stayed here for the fourth time. We very much enjoy the beauty and serenity. My husband and I and our daughter and granddaughters all very much enjoyed it. It’s a great place for two generations.
Will absolutely stay here again! Great cabin in a remote area with only insects chattering and birds chirping. We got all our groceries on our way in so we didn’t have to leave- that was a good call.
Sit on the swing or in the rockers with coffee to watch the sun rise and sit in the hot tub listening to cicadas to end the day. Fire pit was also very relaxing. This is the perfect place to just disconnect- completely disconnect!
If you are looking for rustic charm, hilly views (of the sunrise and sunset), and a place to get away from it all out in nature, this is it! You can get more "away from it all," than here. It was just what we needed. We watched the sunrise over the hills from the living room, enjoyed a warm fire in the evening, and watched the sunset from the hot tub. I recommend coming and planning to stay because it is so far away from everything that it would be pain to go out and about. But this little cabin has everything you need for a weekend trip.
