We all have our list of preferred amenities and features when looking for the perfect vacation home, and this cabin does not disappoint! Let’s take a little tour right now… Still Waters is a gorgeously appointed 3-bedroom, 3-bath log cabin northwest of Nashville, that boasts all the comforts a body could ask for… plus you can even bring along your well-mannered small dog. It may be hard to tear yourself away once you get settled in here, because the place is just so darn cool.
Once you start down the driveway, you’ll cross the dam, and be greeted by the picket fence and stone path that leads up to the full-length front porch. You might even find yourself hoping for a rainy day, just so you can sit in the porch swing and listen to the raindrops on the metal roof. A big wood-burning fireplace built of native stone is the focal point of the living room, and the comfy sofa will be soon calling your name, inviting you to kick back and enjoy some great conversation with your companions. A large flat-screen TV with satellite service and a DVD player enhances the vacation experience for guests of Still Waters. Of course, it’s always fun to explore a new kitchen and pretend that you’re about to be named the newest “America’s Top Chef”, even if your specialty is simply a box of good ole’ mac & cheese, but who cares?…you’re all making some great Brown County memories now.
Weather permitting, you may want to enjoy your meals either on the porch. just off the kitchen, or on the large open deck.
The master bedroom is on the main level, and is outfitted with a king-size bed with a pillow-top mattress for the sleeping portion of your Brown County getaway…and who doesn’t love a good night’s sleep? And the attached master bathroom is very roomy with shower/tub combo and a copper sink.
The hallway bathroom is uniquely decorated with the cutest claw-foot bath tub, and two galvanized wash tub sinks. The others in your group will be happy to find two more bedrooms on the lower level, featuring a queen-size pillow-top mattress in one; and a queen-size bed, plus a set of double bunk beds in the third bedroom. All bedrooms have flat-screen TVs and satellite service, and some include a DVD player, as well.
The lower level has a bathroom to be shared by the two bedrooms here. There’s also a game room, furnished with yet another large flat-screen TV and DVD player, plus a great pool table, comfortable seating and rustic décor. Rest assured, your comfort and entertainment needs have been fully addressed!
You’ll have fun discovering all the outdoor fun to be had at Still Waters when you walk out the lower level door to the patio, hot tub and the firepit. Be sure to bring along your fishing poles for some catch and release fishing from the pond just steps from your back door. Everything about this cabin is so well done, you’ll want to return again and again…and we hope you do!

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES
#1 - Cancellations of a confirmed reservation must be made by the Guest who made the original reservation, not a representative of that Guest.
#2 - Reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to the arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total charges before tax, plus the $30 handling fee.
#3 - Reservations cancelled 8-14 days prior to arrival, you lose the deposit paid.
#4 - Reservations cancelled within 7 days of the arrival, there is NO REFUND!
#5 - When within 14 days of arrival, the reservation cannot be shortened or moved.
#6 - When within 7 days of arrival, reservations cannot be changed or altered. No exceptions.

#1 - The remaining balance will be due 7 days prior to check-in and will be automatically charged to the card on file. If you want a different charge card used for this balance, you must notify us before this balance is charged.

We absolutely loved Stillwater cabin!! Everything we could have wanted or needed was taken care of there! All of the beds and furnishings were so comfortable and well cared for. Nice fluffy towels and plenty of them!!
We did a bit of hiking around the cabin, enjoying the beauty of nature. Would love to return in summer or fall, but we could imagine any season could be enjoyable at Stillwater cabin!
Patty was great about explaining everything. The place was beautiful and very well stocked with everything you would need . Would love to stay here again in the near future.

At your request, I'm writing to share a few thoughts on our recent stay at Still Waters. Perhaps all I need to say is that I've already booked the cabin again for Valentine's 2025 weekend!
Over the past 20 years or so, we've stayed in many beautiful Hills O'Brown managed cabins during our annual Valentine's treks. But Still Waters is really in a class by itself. The architecture is remarkable. The ample windows brighten up the spaces from every angle. The setting is private, but easily accessible. And the large pond provides added serenity.
The cabin was well decorated, cozy and was perfect for our group of 6. The open floor plan made it easy for us to connect and spend time together on both the upper and lower levels! We loved the fireplace and the provided firewood. Thanks for everything!

We stayed at the Still Waters cabin this past weekend and it was awesome! We stay at one of your cabins once a year for a mom/kids weekend. They have all been wonderful cabins----but, (like the gal in the office told us) we've decided that Still Waters is our favorite by far! The setting was awesome---off of the road, pond, barn. Very cool! We loved the interior. A big thing for us is having a TV in each bedroom----some of the cabins don't have this----and it makes all the difference! We loved that there was wood there for our bonfire. The cabin was perfect! Well done!

Dear Bart and Amy, When I walked up to your cottage I knew I had to be in a "Hallmark" movie. I opened the the door and I was Home in my HAPPY PLACE! I really could move in, it was just....me. Our stay at Still Waters cabin in November was FANTASTIC, just as it was the 1st time we stayed there. It’s so roomy, beautifully decorated, & we really enjoy the spacious, wooded lot & pond. Our doggies always get a case of the zoomies when we’re there.
This was a great cabin for us. We enjoyed it immensely! Especially the kitchen, it was so nice! The seclusion and peace and quiet was what we needed and this cabin provided it.
This cabin is secluded and super nice. We had an amazing time. All 3 bedrooms were very comfortable.
The sounds of the woods in the morning were wonderful to enjoy while sitting in the hot tub.
Beautiful cottage, quiet setting. No wifi but who needs it if you’ve got good service. These are places to disconnect. Heads-up, will need to make sure and check your provisions list before you go to the cottage because if you forget something a store is 20 minutes away.
