This cabin built in 2011 is a 3-bedroom, 3.5 bath cedar log cabin sitting in the midst of over a hundred acres of adjacent forest. There are just a few steps down to the private pond. The plentiful fish, birds, and dragonflies are just part of the bucolic scene. It’s wonderfully secluded from all the hubbub of everyday life, but a short scenic drive to Nashville, Brown County State Park, or the quaint town of Story. The lovely city of Columbus, or the Edinburgh outlets are only 1/2 hour from here, as are the many adventures of Brown County.
This roomy mountain-style log cabin has a friendly open floor plan that easily accommodates up to 8 people. Come on in and sit around the gas log fireplace in Dad’s recliner, Grampa’s recliner sofa, or one of Mom’s cozy swivel chairs in the corner. The gorgeous yet comfy Great Room shares its vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors, and 46” HD Smart TV with Blu-Ray with the dining room, and the very well equipped kitchen. Downstairs you will find a basement entertainment room with pool table, foosball, a 60" big screen TV and the bar.
Dine outdoors, or in the roomy dining room, or at the bar on the spacious kitchen counter, or...
When sleep beckons, the king-size log bed is most restful in the main floor Master Bedroom, with its en suite bath with Mom’s soaker tub, Dad’s shower, and the roomy walk-in closet. The bedroom upstairs boasts another king-size log bed PLUS 2 twin beds, and its own walk-in closet. The upstairs suite is adjacent to its own spacious full bath and opens to the cozy loft for games, puzzles, or just enjoying the views. Back on the main floor there is the homey “Quilt Bedroom” with its queen-size bed, and the main bathroom.
Outside you can settle into a cozy chair on the 36’ deck. Maybe you’ll see a great blue heron stalking fish in the pond; see or hear an owl, a hummingbird, or a great pileated woodpecker. The covered front porch or the sweeping view from the glass-front great room can keep you out of the elements for as long as you wish, but the close-by hot tub beckons you to bask out among the trees and enjoy the views day or night. Perhaps you’ll try to catch a bluegill or largemouth bass or help the kids search for “Mister Big” (one of the resident grass carp) from atop the rocks, along the dam, or one of those little coves over on the east side. Save plenty of time for badminton, croquet, bocce ball, and lawn darts in the play yards, or maybe just a whole lot of sitting and listening to the quiet. Sure Beats Workin’!
Slip down to the patio for a picnic. Gather your folding chairs or just sit on the comfy Adirondack chairs to make s’mores around the campfire pit down at water’s edge. The frogs and crickets will join your sing-along come evening. The deer and turkeys don’t mind you visiting, if you stay really still. And, oh, the stars on a clear night! This is 20 acres of wooded paradise, the way we love it…and soon you will too.
All our cabins have a 3 night minimum for Major Holidays.
Come back again next season, next year, frequently, to see and enjoy this wonderfully relaxing place and see how it just gets better. Ahh!!! Sure Beats Workin’!!l Property Description

BEST HOME EVER!
Best Airbnb we’ve been too for work
We had a great experience staying at this cabin. Such a beautiful outdoors and lots of room to spread out indoors. Would definitely go back.
What a storybook setting! Awesome knotty pine interior, wrap around porch, fire pit and stunning private lake! The sleeping arrangements weee perfect for our large extended family. Everyone had their own bathroom and privacy. Towels and sheets were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The wi-di worked well as the entertainment was really cool, from the basement game parlor to the updated flat screen tv’s. We will definitely be back/ thank you Parry and Hills O’ Brown. You guys rock!
We loved
This cabin is absolutely beautiful and clean and I am a clean freak so I appreciate that. We went with another family and truly enjoyed that we could spread out and have privacy. There's so much to do even indoors if weather is not cooperating or if you just want to chill. Both adults and kids loved the basement play area with the pool table and foosball and all of the games. The outdoor surrounding area and how secluded you feel but yet close enough to downtown Nashville can't be beat. You will enjoy this beautiful house and the gorgeous scenery. Patty did communicate in an email not to depend on the GPS but we missed that so we copied and pasted the address in our GPS and got lost, but we found out if you type in the address it will work. That's the only thing I would say is don't depend on the GPS like the host suggested otherwise absolutely beautiful and perfect stay. We will stay there again, and we look forward to checking it out in the fall.
What can we say?? Awesome!!! Simply heavenly. We took our very first family trip since we have a new daughter in law. Had the best time .together. the cabin was perfect. Cooked inside outside firepit dinner fishing hiking pool tournaments and just frog hunting at night. Night music was beautiful. Don't know how I caught the tree and the bass at the same time but there you go. Thank you so very much for a wonderful family trip! 34 th wedding anniversary andWhat can we say?? Awesome!!!
