Property Details

Quaint and cute describe Bella Woods, a log cabin that has been restored and revamped to accommodate you and your group. As you cross the concrete bridge and head up the driveway, you’ll see the cabin in the distance, and the wide-open front yard with the woodsy backdrop. Park in the carport, and then head on in to find many interesting artifacts from by-gone days. If you like ‘all things vintage’’re in for a treat.

A porch-like family room is where you’ll first enter the cabin, and you may want to plop down right away and enjoy the free-standing gas fireplace. Be sure to notice the wooden cubbies thingie here...maybe from an old hotel, or post office? Whatever the origin, it’s an interesting piece. The kitchen has a nice big sink that is a mid-century piece: metal cabinets freshened up with red paint, and topped with the porcelain enamel sink and drainboards...maybe just like your Granny had! Wooden countertops on the island and other cabinets provide plenty of room to lay out a feast for all. The nice big side-by-side fridge/freezer can hold a heap of groceries, so
don’t skimp on your shopping trip. Lots of original finishes are to be found, with barnwood, beadboard, repurposed corrugated tin, and the perfect shade of red fabric and paint adding character and country charm throughout.

You’ll find a second living room area just off the kitchen, which has a futon, a dining table for meals or board games, and a wall-mounted TV. There’s no lack of sleeping accommodations for your crew when you stay at Bella Woods. Two bedrooms on the main floor are handily set up with so-cute metal bedframes (one is a full-size, and one is a queen). One of these bedrooms has an added feature of a stairway that leads up to a loft bedroom. Lucky are the lad and lassie that get to sleep in the log bed up there, where they have a bird’s eye view of the property. If you’ve fantasized about a leisurely soak in an antique clawfoot bathtub with shower, you’re gonna love this place. Painted red, of course...the tub is quite inviting, and you can sit there and appreciate the other old-timey touches, like the mirror, the lights, and the cute bowl sink on a washstand.

The owners have tried to anticipate your every entertainment need and desire. Take your choice of bikes, golf clubs, or romping around the big barn-turned-game room, where you’ll delight in a ping pong table, a pool table, and seating for a bunch. The barn is a great place to hang out and play, but be aware that there’s no heat or A/C in the barn...however, it’s such a neat building, that this probably won’t matter much. The brick patio is a fun area that offers a hammock for napping, a hot tub, a gas grill and dining table, lounge chairs, as well as a fire pit. Bella Woods is unique and cozy, and has much to offer her guests. With all there is to amuse yourself with here, you may not want to venture off the property...but if you do, there’s no lack of entertaining options open to you. Shopping, restaurants, art galleries, and riding a horse or ATV or zipline, golfing, fishing, boating, hiking, and mountain biking are just some of the possibilities awaiting you in Brown County. We can’t wait for you to visit!

Lovely cabin, great for a get away and awesome land to explore

We loved everything about this cabin. It was close enough to go into town for the day and come back and enjoy being out in the woods, off the beaten path. The house was amazing and so cozy! It had everything we needed.
