Prepare to relish the meandering drive that leads to Cliff Creek Cabin. A little off the beaten path, you’ll be happy to have reserved this commodious cabin with a huge deck with picnic tables overlooking a cute little frog pond and a firepit. While the owners do not live close by, they do come to the horse barn next door but your enjoyment of Cliff Creek Cabin is very important to them…and of course, mutual respect for their privacy and property is appreciated, as well.
The main level has plenty of space to entertain…guests will surely enjoy the big kitchen with seating around the island. There’s even a wine cooler to chill your favorite brand of beer or bottle of bubbly. Two dining tables make it easy to feed a crowd, whether you’ve cooked up a holiday-style feast or brought in several big pizza boxes to spread out. A big flat screen TV/DVD and sofas mean everybody has a prime spot to watch a movie or sporting event. There’s a bedroom on the main level with a king bed for the lucky person who calls first dibs. A full bath just off the hall completes the main floor’s accommodations. The open-concept floorplan of the living/dining area has the interesting bonus of a cool spiral staircase that takes you to the upper level, where you’ll find two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two queen sized beds plus an adjoining bathroom on this level. This spacious bathroom has a separate tub, plus a big walk-in shower, too.

The basement level of Cliff Creek boasts a big lounge area that’s set up for anyone who wants to chill out a while with a book, or maybe engage in a heart-to-heart conversation with their BFF. Another big living area on this level has a pool table so you can play games apart from the upstairs activities.

One more bedroom (with a queen bed) and full bathroom on this lower level ensures that everybody has a comfortable sleeping spot after a day of Brown County adventure.

Don't forget the bubbling hot tub on the deck! Bring your poles and fish in the 1-acre pond where for 2 species of bluegills, crappies and bass. Catch and release fishing.

There’s certainly enough to keep you entertained at Cliff Creek Cabin…but if you decide to wander away in search of other fun things to do and places to explore…you have options. Lake Lemon is only 5 minutes from your cabin; and Yellowwood State Forest is just a short hop by car. Brown County State Park has horse trails, hiking trails, and mountain bike trails on which to test your athletic prowess, or you can play golf, ride a zip-line or ATV, pan for gold, or ride in a horse-drawn carriage, as well. Brown County is the woodland playground of Indiana. Make a reservation so that you can experience it all and create some great memories that will last a lifetime.

All our cabins have a 3 night minimum for Major Holidays.

Cabin was beautiful. Unfortunately we never got the hot tub to warm up over 73 degrees and had multiple outlets that didn’t work

Response From: Patty Frensemeier

We hope you were able to enjoy the rest of what that cabin had to offer. We are very sorry your hot tub was not heating. We would have sent our hot tub maintenance person out to the cabin to fix the issue had you called either our office or the after hours phone(number provided in the cabins information binder) and we might have even been able to locate a GFI that was causing outlets not to work. We do want our guest to be able to enjoy their stay and all that the cabins have to offer. Thank you and we do hope you will come back and stay with us again soon.

Cliff creek was an amazing cabin. The total layout was great. The Family as a whole felt it was our favorite one yet, planning on returning next summer. We felt it had so much to offer, and ton of extras that some cabins dont offer. Please let the owners know they did good. The things we would add is if we stay longer next summer and we will, thinking more than a week , we would really like to have access to a washer and dryer. The other thing is the trash , having one trash can, and no good spot to put garbage. But the experience was wonderful and we love that spread!

Warning: There are no bedrooms on the second floor! It is an open loft, with 2 queen beds on one side of the bathroom, and another queen bed on the other side. The beds are nice, and the place is beautiful. But we needed a room with 2 beds for a family so that the parents could put the kids to sleep and close the door. Also, pay attention that this is a remote location without wifi.

We did enjoy the size and layout of the kitchen and spaces to hang out for large groups. The porch was ridiculously large, but the main entry porch was spacious with lots of nice seating. There was a field for the kids to play games nearby. The place is 30 minutes out of town, which nice for privacy but make sure to be well supplied.

However, we were so disappointed in the lack of privacy in the upstairs bedrooms, that we also wanted to warn future guests about: cobwebs and dead spiders, couches that were so dusty that dust plumed up when you sat on them, corners needed to be swept, malfunctioning and shorting out lights in the kitchen, poor lighting outside under the porch, hot tub jets malfunctioning, porch railing behind the hot tub was deteriorating and loose, tilted out and looked ready to fall off.

Nice cabin, larger than I thought it would be, the outside deck has space for whatever probably 2-3000 sq feet of deck space.
Cool property.

Great spot in the middle of nowhere. I thought the no wi-fi wouldn’t be a big deal, but it was. The house was bigger than I thought and the hot tub was smaller than I thought. Checkout was a chore but had enough people to help out. Overall a really good time.

The cabin was a perfect size for our group of nine adults. We were all able to spread out and it never felt too crowded. It was very clean both inside and outside and we enjoyed the firepit and the general location of the cabin. A great place to go if you want to "unplug" as there was no WiFi and cell service was very spotty. The kitchen setup was great and our group often gathered around the kitchen island because it was big enough for us all to crowd around! Side note to future travelers to bring napkins/paper towels for your stay as none are provided. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was wonderful! Cabin was clean and loved how it was decorated. Beautiful quiet landscape, exactly what we all needed to spend some quality family time together!
If I had to say anything negative, we thought the upstairs bedrooms had doors so were mislead by the photos but maybe it was mentioned in the description and I missed it. It really wasnt an issue though.
I'd love to know where the owner bought the decorative ball (macrame) hanging by the fireplace. Is there any way to find that out? I've looked and looked online and am not seeing anything like it. Wondering if its from a Nashville shop.

Thanks again!!
