Cute as a Button Cabin on Button Lake

Turn off the country road onto a lane that takes you across Button Lake and you’ll catch your first glimpse of Cute as a Button Cottage. The big patio and sliding glass doors looking out over the lake welcome you home.

If you are looking for tranquility, you’ve found it. Nestled among the trees, you can enjoy the solitude from the glider on the patio or the swing on the hill. As you’re enjoying the trees reflected in the lake don’t be surprised if a doe and her fawns show up for a drink or the visiting Great Blue Heron strolls across the dam looking for a snack.

You’ll enter the cabin on the lower level where the large open concept kitchen/dining/living areas are perfect for family and friend gatherings. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, tableware and appliances, including microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender and more. With the large sliding glass doors all across the front you’ll be able to prepare and eat a meal while watching the wildlife. The comfortable love seats and recliners in the living room allow you to kick back and watch your favorite show on the flat screen Roku Smart television. There is also a half bath.

A spiral staircase leads you upstairs to a sitting room with Roku Smart television. On either side of the sitting room are the two spacious bedrooms. One has a bay window so you can enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of your bedroom which is furnished with a queen size bed. The second bedroom, equally as spacious, has two double beds. Both bedrooms and the sitting room have sliding glass doors that take you to a
deck overlooking the lake, a perfect place to watch the early morning mist rise from the water and enjoy your first cup of coffee. Full bath with tub and shower.

Downstairs, the large patio leads out to the lake and has plenty of seating, including a glider and table with umbrella. A flat bottom boat is on the water’s edge and available for paddling around the lake. Be on the lookout for painted turtles sitting on logs and all kinds of frogs along the edge.

Mornings are especially delightful. You’ll be awakened to the sounds of hundreds of birds beginning their day.
And evenings are special, too. The pair of barred owls often talk to each other at dusk and the chorus of frogs will lull you to sleep.

Wildlife abounds here at Button Lake and being a part of it is a special gift.

Just fifteen minutes from the quaint village of Nashville where you’ll find great shopping and restaurants
this little cabin is the perfect get-away.

This cottage has plenty of usable water supplied by the lake well. The water is safe, tested and filtered, but, it is not "city water". You might want to bring some drinking water with you if you do not like the taste of well water.

This was a cute little private property. Love the games that were available to play, the view of the sunrise in the morning, over the pond, the privacy, and the trails in the back of the house to take a walk. Overall good experience!

Great old fashion quiet get away
We really enjoyed the quiet secluded cabin in the woods with a pond. No problems with anything. Would stay here again without hesitation.

This cabin was the perfect getaway for a new couple. Very private. Very relaxing. Felt like a home more than a rental. We will absolutely be returning to this cabin in the future!!

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. We had everything we needed. We were 3 generations enjoying the eclipse. We were able to get around town and enjoyed dinner at The Ordinary. We would even think we would enjoy a week at the cabin. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed our nightly s’mores. Thank You for making it special.

Perfect place to stay for a long weekend. I live out of state and had to work the weekend in Morgantown my husband and dogs joined me. Perfect place for them to relax while I was away

The cottage is comfortably furnished and has a great, open view of the pond. Kitchen plates and utensils were adequate. We cooked all breakfasts and dinners there during out stay. Microwave, stove, oven, but, no dishwasher.
Guests should know that all bedrooms are upstairs and the only inside staircase is a circular metal affair that will challenge many elderly guests or persons weighing over 200 lb. or so--they will use the outside wooden staircase rain or shine.
The pond is strictly for looks; no fishing and far too scummy to swim in.
Check in is south of Nashville, 10+ winding miles of road from the cabin and you must return the key there too. Check in was after 4 pm but at 4:45 I received a call asking when I'd pick up the key! There's a 1 hr. window of opportunity it seems. After 5 I'd get it out of a lock box.

Love the cozy feel and the view. Also the wifi and the streaming services. Sitting by the fire drinking cider and sitting by the large upstairs window, looking at the snow and lake.
