Elm Lodge Vacation Cabin | Hilltop • Hot Tub

The booking was managed by Hills O’ Brown Vacation rentals, so it felt somewhat of a scam to pay AirBNB fees when it can be booked directly through Hills O’ Brown, but that was my mistake.

Otherwise, we were pleasantly surprised by the cabin and its spacious living room. It was just as described and perfect for our get together of a few families with young children. We also really appreciated being able to bring our dog. Check in was seamless and easy. Cabin was close to town and Brown County State Park. We would stay again!

A group of 4 couples spent the weekend at Elm Lodge. We LOVED it. It's important to read everything in the description and on the website that they send to you.

If you are a large group take extra Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, and garbage bags. We didn't need anything extra other than the Toilet paper, but all of this is explained in the listing description.

The cabin was cozy and inviting. There's room for everyone. Our first night the Husbands shot pool, while the wives talked upstairs, we were never in each other's way. We are all able to play card games and the table. The hot tub was used w/ no issues, the fire pit was amazing.

This was a beautiful cabin and location - the neighbors were great, as well! Amenities that were included made the stay very home-like and convenient. Highly recommend!

Perfect Cabin for a Quiet Getaway
We absolutely LOVED this property. There was ample room for anything and everything we had planned, it was stocked with all the right amenities, and the ambiance was perfect. The kitchen table is BIG and we had more than enough room for everyone, and there were plenty of seats in the living area as well for our party of 7. The water pressure and quality more than met our needs, and the WiFi was more than adequate for a little bit of streaming we had on for the youngest guests. Overall, definitely a 10/10 as far as stays go, we would definitely recommend and would for sure stay again!

Overall, it was a great stay. The location is perfect, and there is a good common space for a group! However, the futons are not really realistic for adults to sleep on. We had some very sore people by the end of the weekend, although they may be fine for kids. There was no dish soap. However, we would come back again! The driveway was not too bad; you just have to go for it.

We gathered to have an intimate wedding ceremony with only our adult children. The house was the perfect size for us and the beautiful setting allowed for family photos. All in all, it exceeded our expectations. Do believe them when they say the driveway is steep! We did not have any trouble but could be a surprise if not expecting.

Great cabin!
We stayed in Elm Lodge three nights during an intense rain event. Flooding everywhere in the Nashville area including in our cabin. Management was amazing! They found us another cabin to check in to but the roads were closed due to flooding so we stuck it out. With a shop vacuum and manpower, we kept the water at bay for the first night and by the next morning, it had stopped completely! An act of nature did not damper our trip!This is a wonderful cabin! Well supplied, lovely grounds and view and adequate room for our party of twelve. Beds and futons need to be updated but they served their purpose. Firewood is provided for both the fireplace and fire pit - a huge plus! Be aware that the drive to the cabin is steep but manageable and you navigate many gravel roads to get there but it is well worth it!We would definitely stay here again. Management was in constant communication and went above and beyond taking good care of us.

We loved it, but really did to speak up more on that driveway. WOW. Love the place, great screened in porch. Curtains on the large glass door down stairs. Overall it was very accommodating for our needs.

The cabin itself was great. We had a group of friends meet up for a weekend getaway and play board games. Good times were had. Beds were great. Water presswas amazing. The only complaint about the weekend and reason we would not choose this site again is the steep driveway. It was a challenge for all to go up the driveway - some couldnt do it.Again, very good cabin for our needs.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and will definitely be back as it was an awesome place.

We had a great time in Brown County, at Elm Lodge. The lodge was clean and well equipped.
The information sent prior to our stay was also very helpful.

We did enjoy the cabin, everything matched the description on web page. It was very outdated, queen bedroom, on the main floor, definitely needs a new mattress. The rock drive needs some work, it has some deep ruts. I don’t clean houses, so I’m not sure what the $230 cleaning fee covers, but we did feel like we had to do a lot of stuff, before leaving the cabin. Hot tub jets were only working on one side, and we’re not experts, but all we all have hot tub at our homes, and couldn’t get the tub to work properly. Kind of feel we should be compensated for the hot tub. We would definitely consider renting from Hills O’Brown again, but not the Elm Lodge.

The cabin was quiet, clean, and cozy, perched atop a quiet hill. Great location too. Close to Nashville, and a fairly simple drive to Bloomington largely on gravel roads leading to 46. The cabin's wifi worked well, which was an unexpected bonus.

Hello, just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed our stay at the cabin this past weekend. The emails you sent about our stay were informative and timely. The number of emails was ok as well.

This cabin was perfect for 6 adults and 3 ten year olds. Our family Christmas present was to spend time together which we hadn't been able to for several years.

This was a great place to get away with family. Lots of spaces for different activities. The pool table, hot tub, and fire pit were great distractions on the property to help people relax.

The exterior of this house is amazing. The inside was disappointing. Very dated with worn out beds, couches, smelly blankets and overall a stinky space. We had amazing weather and got to utilize a great fire pit and hot tub.

Our party of 11 had a great time at the Elm Lodge cabin!
This was the first of what we hope to be many mini vacations for our family and of course we would love to continue to use Hills O' Brown Vacation Rentals. Some of the members in our party have rented from Hills O' Brown in the past.
We thought the communications sent out was perfect and wouldn't change a thing.

This is an amazing cabin for family get togethers! Plenty of beds, clean and amazing screened in porch! Feels very private and secluded. The driveway is very steep, if you have 4WD it’s easy but takes a few times with 2WD.

Great weekend getaway and super peaceful surroundings. Plenty of room for my family of 4 and then some. The place was clean and well cared for.

Great cabin for a large group! Lots of places to sleep and a large living room/dining room to all be able to hangout in comfortably. Also very close to downtown Nashville so you get the best of both worlds!

Decent cabin overall. It was reasonably clean but a noticeable amount of dust. Again mostly clean overall! Hot tub was clean and functional. Most of the furniture is very dated and overly worn in.

Do not rent this cabin without 4WD vehicle as it is located on a VERY steep hill. One of our traveling partners had to park her car at the bottom of the hill and walk up.

House was a great location. Very secluded, but very close to town as well. House was very clean. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Great setting. Beautiful surroundings. Very private. Driveway was a little challenging due to recent icing but two of us had 4 wheel drive vehicles so we got in and out o.k. Screened porch looked marvelous for a milder time. Table & chairs and bedrooms were as expected. We couldn't get the gas fireplace downstairs lit but it was probably us. Didn't want to use the wood burning fireplace since we were there such a short time. Kitchen was amply stocked with dishes for our morning breakfasts together. Not too far to local eateries, shops, and entertainment. Nice spot for 8 people.

Cabin was worth every cent!

What a perfect house for our family of 5. Ample space, plenty of bedrooms, a cozy living room and a lovely porch. We especially loved all the space outdoors - so gorgeous in the fall. We loved using the house as a jumping-off point for exploring the state park and state forests around nashville. So well-located.

Beautiful setting.

My family really enjoyed staying at Elm Lodge. It was a very spacious with a secluded setting. It had a fire pit area with seating so we took advantage of it and had a wiener roast one evening! We loved the screened porch as well! Just a short distance to town where you’ll find some of the best boutique shopping, quaint candle shops, home decor shops, candy stores, and multiple restaurants. We visited a distillery, and having dinner there. They had an outside venue where they had live music. A lot of fun! I hope we can return again one day and if so, I sure hope Elm Lodge is available!
