Great Little Cabin
Overall was a great little cabin. Daughter is a student at IU and this was an inexpensive alternate to hotel rooms that were thru the roof for the weekend. Its a bit of a drive down crooked rural roads, but a beautiful part of the country. Would be great access to Nashville. Peaceful and remote, but the check in process is a bit onerous. I ended up dropping a pin to navigate to/from once I got there, made it 10x easier. No wifi, but Verizon had great service. The place was super clean, the little pond was beautiful, the bathroom was modern, kitchen would be great. Despite the key process, I will book here again, because its worth it.

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The house feels a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside and was very clean. The set up really worked well for what we needed. We loved the outside area as well. The seclusion and private pond were amazing. Hoping to come back soon with the kids! Thanks for everything!!

We really enjoyed our stay. We like to find places that we can make our go-to when we visit and this visit established Hills O'Brown as our 'place to go'. We have already booked another stay. One of the things that really worked out for us was the ability to stop by the office and pick up keys after hours. We typically leave after working hours to make the trip down so, this works out quite nicely. The accomodations met and exceeded our expectations in many ways. He hope to continue to use your rentals for many years to come. Thanks!

Very nice location and very quiet on the weekend. We were there on Thursday morning and were woken up by dump trucks back up beepers and tailgates slamming. The property seemed to be in an equipment yard for the dairy and other businesses nearby. The inside door lock lever was broken making it very difficult to lock and unlock from the inside. The TV would not function correctly making watching movies or anything else very difficult. I think for the price of this rental the checkout process is a bit extensive. Qhile this is a very nice cabin and location in relation to brown county having to remove sheets and pillow cases and blankets as well as empty trash cans, and set the furnace to a specific temprature, bringing your own trash bags, soaps, toilet paper, paper towel and having to check in and out at a separate location seem like the rental price and cleaning fees should be cheaper

THE GOOD: the place is actually pretty nice. Cabin faces the pond and has floor to ceiling windows the entire front and the pond is beautiful. Bathroom is nicely remodeled. Kitchen has a lot of what you need to actually cook. Had some fun games we got to play.
THE BAD: 1. Check in SUCKS. They won't even give the address till you check in, so you can't prep your travel documents ahead. Check in is 20-30 min from the actual cabin, so if you're coming from the other side, it's an extra hour of driving. Hello key lock-box! 2. Patty is rude if you ask for the info. 3. It's right next to the dairy, like a few hundred yards away is the dairy. We got there at night and it stunk horribly outside with some chemical smell. My kids were actually gagging when outside. Inside the cabin was ok. Smell was gone the next day, but was present again the following evening. So 2 out of the 3 nights. I don't know if it's dairy related or something else. 3. The place was not cleaned well. I'll try to add a pic of the dust/dirt/trash under one bed. The shower floor had either scum or mold on the side and other people's hair. 4. No WiFi.

Had no issues with our cabin. The emails explaining policies, procedures, and check-in/out information was very helpful and informative.
We've been repeat customers off and on for years because of the operation.

We had a great time. We wanted to get out of the way and feel like we were in a secluded place, and didn’t need to go anywhere BUT we had the option to go somewhere and have fun close by. This place checked everything on our list!

View from the porch is beautiful. The pond was also well stocked with fish. My little boy and I enjoyed fishing on the dam. Little touches like books, games and movies were also appreciated by my family. Enjoyed our visit and was a great spend a long holiday weekend!

We had two major problems with our stay. First the listing was incorrect. It listed 4 beds and there were only 3. The second issue was an infestation of carpenter ants. They were crawling up the walls. At night you could hear them falling and hitting the floor.

Pond is pretty. Fairly quiet setting. Easier to find during daylight as somewhat remote.
