Lake Hideaway Fishing Cabin
Come enjoy some quiet lake time at Lake Hideaway Log Cabin. This quaint log cabin was originally built in the 1800's and has been renovated to meet today's standards and conveniences. You will be immediately drawn to the large fishing lake behind the cabin. Over two acres, this private, fully stocked lake is every fisherman's dream! Its beauty and tranquility are breath taking. Catch and release fishing.

Come sit on the dam and cast your line - the fish are biting! Whether you have come to catch some catfish, bluegill and bass, or just come for a taste of nature. Springtime is beautiful. Lake Hideaway will have you returning year after year.

Nestled in the woods, far away from any roads or outside noises, Lake Hideaway's only neighbors are the deer, birds, and other wildlife you may see on a nature walk. Smack dab in the middle of 50 acres, and surrounded by trees, privacy is yours for the taking.

Once you enter Lake Hideaway, you will see the beautiful oversized logs in the eat-in kitchen. This fully equipped kitchen is one of the largest rooms in the cabin, allowing for more than one cook. Just off the kitchen is a full bath.

The living room offers a spectacular gas fireplace and a television with satellite. The cabin also provides a large collection of books for your enjoyment. Is there anything more relaxing than reading a good book by a fireplace? Also, just off the living room is an open bedroom with a queen sized bed and a futon perfect for little ones. As you head upstairs to the open loft, you will find a queen sized bed. The ceiling is low, so watch your head!

As you go out the back door just off the living room, you will enter the sunroom overlooking the oversized lake. This is a fantastic spot to eat your lunch, or simply enjoy the many birds that flock to the bird feeders. Just outside the sunroom is a grassy area with a picnic table and dinner bell. What a view, overlooking the lake, and further, looking into the woods, nothing to stand between you and the many wonders of nature.

Lake Hideaway is only 15 minutes to downtown Nashville, yet one of the most secluded properties in Brown County. Come see why Lake Hideaway is not only a special place, but a truly special experience.

This is a really unique home on a beautiful property with easy access to Nashville and Brown County State Park. We loved the 3 seasons room, lake views, and fire pit outside. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen met our needs. For the price (nearly $900 for 2 nights), there were a few things we would have adjusted—having to check in and drop the key off at an offsite management office is pretty inconvenient in this day and age, especially if you want to enjoy the area after checking out before leaving, you have to go drop it at the office by 1p. Additionally, neither the TV nor the indoor fireplace worked consistently and there was no one to help answer those questions when we called. Also to have an outdoor fire pit and grill and not provide matches or a lighter at the price point was disappointing—we had to run back out on a 30 min round trip errand to buy a lighter to have a fire. Beautiful property, but some notes to consider for the price point.

Response From: Hills O' Brown Vacation Rentals

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Just a couple notes here to you. Most All our cabins are key entry. We never have to worry that the battery is dead in a key and with over 117 cabins we manage in this area you can see why after over 30 years we still keep our key entries. As to the TV and Fireplace, we have on call maintenance 8-8 and had you call our after hours number(listed on the front of the binder on information in your cabin) we would have sent them out to help with those issues. We do hope you will call us when ready to visit our area and let us help pick out your next cabin.

Good morning,
We stayed at Lake Hideaway Log Cabin and absolutely LOVED it. It was very peaceful, clean, well taken care of, and just absolutely amazing.
Regarding receiving the emails when booking and prior to our arrival: it worked very well.
Directions to the check in office and the cabin were spot on.
I really can't say enough about this cabin. We even talked about coming back every single year. The lake is beautiful. The cabin is amazing. I absolutely love the history of the cabin!!!
We want to thank you so much! Have a great day!

Really great old cabin that offers privacy and seclusion. Your own personal lake with great fishing (we caught bass and blue gills, but also saw massive carp). Good communication from Hills O'Brown rental company. Property as described. Two things that would make this property better are better lighting inside the cabin (it's very dark) and WiFi (cell service is almost non-existent).Will definitely be renting again! The kids loved it.

This historic cabin was perfect for my birthday getaway! I loved it! It is next to a beautiful lake that is private and my husband and I were able to take a boat ride which was very relaxing. This cabin sits out in the woods by this lake and there are no other cabins/houses in sight so if you are looking for a quiet place to get away this is the place! The cabin has a big fireplace that you can sit next to at night and watch T.V. or read a book. So relaxing! Nice big kitchen that has everything you might need to make your meals if that is what you want to do. Also, a nice enclosed back porch overlooking the lake makes having your morning coffee a beautiful experience. Was very thankful that the trees still had leaves on them and the colors were still very pretty which made for some great pictures! Highly recommend this place and especially during the Fall!

This place is perfect if you want to disconnect from the world. No wifi and satellite tv is very poor. No streaming either. So prepare to read a book or play a game or something.
Water pressure was not great in the bathroom.
Overall nothing serious!

We enjoyed our experience at this cabin very much. It was peaceful and the cabin truly felt like a cabin, cozy and warm. Since it was cold and rainy, we made great use of the gas fireplace. The lake was beautiful and serene. It was so easy to throw in a line because the lake was steps from the door. It truly felt like home, and I was sad to leave, but we will return. It was close enough to Nashville that we could drive in for dinner. We even found a new Mexican restaurant in Morgantown, which was delicious. We had alot of options nearby, but could also enjoy having no one else around when we just wanted to relax.
Thank you also for the information you provided via email. It helped in the planning of our trip.

True Cabin! Loved reading the history on it. We caught and released more than 20 fish in our 3 days there. No trophies but it was fun. Very secluded... loved it!

We had a nice time. The cabin was clean and spacious. We were delightfully surprised by the library. So many books on a large variety of subjects. Loved having the lake and property all to ourselves! Such a peaceful setting.
And the information you sent before arrival was more than adequate.
Thank you. I will definitely keep your agency in mind for the future.
