Overall stay was okay at best. Cabin was peaceful however quality of cleaning being done was personally unacceptable. The wifi did not work & we did not get cell service so it was a bit inconvenient. Picking up/dropping off keys wasn’t a deal breaker but definitely inconvenient. When I reached out about the cleanliness of the home & the wifi being out the owner did have not have good customer service when answering back and asked why I had no contacted during business hours (we werent there, we had plans during the business hours) — she blew off the comments about to cabin being dirty and said she’d send someone out for the wifi. Maintenance came out & said they couldn’t do anything about it until Monday as a button on the router had been hit (wasnt us), not sure if thats even true. Overall the cabin was peaceful but dirty & stinky, lots of dust & a mold issue. Washer full of mold as well as the air vents. A clear moisture issue at hand. I will choose another cabin when we come back.
We mainly used the location to sleep and shower as we needed to be in nearby Bloomington. For a family to stay there a long weekend, it would have been great and private location
Secluded but still close to Nashville and brown county state park.
Great spot in the heart of Brown County!
There is a relatively steep gravel driveway to the house as it is located on a hill. The property is beautiful, very secluded and has panoramic views. The house is well maintained and clean, but a bit dated. The decor in the house was fun with outdoor/western theme.
Thanks again, everything was great. Simple check-in and the space was clean. Please let us know if we missed anything with our checkout instructions. We look forward to returning.
We love the Lonestar! Second time staying there on a long standing annual guys trip and we will never stay anywhere else. It is rustic yet nice and the pool table and hot tub are a great addition. Also it is very isolated and completely immersed in nature. Would recommend for any larger groups.
We had a great time. Lots to do in and around town. Great cabin.
Nice cabin, bring candles as it is a bit musty, occasional "sewage smell". The beds are very comfortable.
Great spot to have a weekend getaway!
We loved this cabin! Clean, well maintained and the perfect vibe for my dad and brothers. Perfect location our annual mountain bike trip to brown county. We will be making this our go to spot every year now!
This cabin has a very long and steep drive to get to it. Glad I had a F-150. It smelled very musty and the decor was a bit like if the western section of hobby lobby and Gander Mountain had a baby. Tacky but liveable. Nevertheless, we did enjoy ourselves.
It was wonderful.
A group of friends came to Brown County to stay for the weekend in the Lonestar Cabin and for what we needed, it worked out really well. The location was awesome, secluded but close enough to town if we needed anything. The check-in process was easy and the cabin itself was exactly how it was advertised.
The cabin was fine and we enjoyed ourselves, but there were some issues with the plumbing in the upstairs bathroom. The upstairs shower had water leaking through the ceiling to the downstairs living room. We used pots to catch the water and it wasn't that bad, but we weren't able to use that shower anymore for the remainder of the weekend. I reached out via the AirBNB messaging app and was told not to use that as a form of communication, which seemed strange and very unhelpful and to check that the curtain was on the inside of the shower, which it was. I was told via the AirBNB messaging function that I couldn't report things through the messaging/listing and needed to call the office, but to be honest we received so many different emails/communications with a mix of different information, sometimes repeated and sometimes new, that it was kind of hard to sift through everything. I was able to reach the office and let them know about the leaking and I let them know it wasn't an emergency, but just wanted it to be documented. They were very friendly and said they would check it out after we checked out, which was fine. After that we had an issue with the upstairs toilet not flushing and the chain getting stuck numerous times so the tank wouldn't fill up unless you took the top off the tank and fixed it manually. We were also a bit frustrated that the thermostat was locked at 75 degrees and unable to be changed. We spent quite a bit of time outside, but it was very hot when we tried to sleep.
The only other thing that was a bit annoying was when I asked the week prior to our stay if the cabin had pokers for hot dogs/marshmallows over the fire and was told that they didn't know and just to bring our own. When I said that we didn't have our own and would have to purchase, I was told that they would have the cleaners check, but we never heard back from them.
Again, the cabin itself was fine and the check-in process went really smoothly, but I felt like it was very obvious that communication wasn't the best and that you weren't going to get the normal personalized attentiveness that you get in other AirBNBs that are owned by and individual instead of a rental company.
We will be back perfect get away if you want to disconnect form city life ❤️ cutest decor and friendly host
We have been to Brown county a lot and this cabin was really in the perfect location. Close to state park and shops in Nashville. Loved the theme of the cabin-really made it fun for the kids. Great WiFi and water pressure. Would definitely stay again!
Thorough instructions for check in and checkout. Website and informational emails have all the answers to your questions. Check in and check out was simple.
Great location so close to the cute town of Nashville Indiana. Amazing hikes all around - with Brown County State Park right there. Really secluded location in the woods.
We had a great time with our adult children. The location was great. We were able to enjoy the state park and downtown Nashville.
Very nice cabin! It was spacious and had all the necessary amenities needed. The surrounding land was beautiful. We stayed in January so I can only imagine how pretty it must be in the fall surrounded by all of the colorful leaves! We will definitely visit this place again!
The cabin was wonderful and gave you a very at home relaxing feel. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful secluded cabin
My husband and 20 month old daughter stayed at this property for the weekend. The cabin was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. We loved having the privacy in the woods. Our daughter loved walking around the property. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time! Lonestar is the perfect location for going mountain biking in the park. The cabin was clean and neat and ready for us to use. The only compliant I have was that the sheets smelled of smoke so we ended up washing them and the mattress pads after the first night. It is nice having access to the washing machine and dryer, especially since we get a lot of sweaty biking clothes. A great thing to add would be a drying rack. Felt there is not enough places to hang towels and washcloths and keep everyone’s separate for reuse.
The emails I got prior to checking in with all the information is fine. I would rather have more information than not enough. Check in was easy as pie as was checkout.
Spent New Years here and loved the cabin. Great amenities, wifi and comfy beds. Very private and yet close to everything. We will be back!
Spent time with family for the holiday. Best place I have stayed. Highly recommend.
