Definitely steep driveway. Beds were very comfortable. Great location, private. Nice big porch and fire pit was nice.
Very relaxing place, quiet and peaceful. We attended a wedding at The Barn at Timber Ridge and this was a good half-point (between Nashville and the venue). From other reviews was worried about the driveway, but we put it in low gear and had no issues in our large conversion van...slow and steady! The cabin was very nice and had lots of character and charm...a much-needed time to get away from the busyness of our lives.
Cute house with great amenities. We loved our stay.
Amazing cabin and property! We enjoyed the peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings. Cabin was cozy, well maintained and clean. Host was quick to respond to questions. Kids loved the game room!
Maple Hills Cabin was beautiful & spacious, and the property was amazing. It was perfect for our family get-away. we LOVED the gameroom!
Perfect location from Nashville, IN. Not too close but not too far. Secluded but you are in downtown Nashville in 5 minutes.
We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful cabin! Beautiful surroundings! Deer came by every morning to eat grass and drink out of the pond- So relaxing to watch with a cup of coffee.
It takes a lot to keep a cabin like this in working order and this team works hard to do that. The cabin is charming and rustic.
When we first arrived at the rental office the wonderful ladies at the front desk were so helpful and kind. We had a little hiccup with a tree falling over the driveway, but it was cleared up fairly quickly so we could get up to the cabin. The driveway is steep, but not a problem. Give your gas a little punch to get up the incline. We will be back one of these days!
drive way was a bit steep. I prefer no person to person check in.
My daughters and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Maple Hills cabin. Everything was clean and it was a beautiful place to spend time together. It was rustic, yet very well appointed. They worked with us to allow an early check-in which we really appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
It was a wonderful place to stay!
Perfect, private woodsy geteway! The place is so nice, cozy, clean, and exceeded our expectations. This was our first experience renting and it was wonderful to come back to Nashville since we got married in Brown County in 2008. The property is gorgeous and we did a lot hiking around, looking at the trees, wildlife, and my husband had fun exploring and foraging mushrooms. We overpacked since there was dishsoap, paper towels and tp but we usually tend to always overpack. The coffee station was perfect. The hottub was so nice and on a private deck with a lovely view. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and listening to the frogs nearby. We most definitely will be back. The only negative that I can think of is a possible tripping hazard on the flooring from the kitchen to hallway. Nashville shops and restaurants are very closeby and everything was easy to find! The bedrooms and the mattress was so comfortable. Checkout process was super easy and had clear instructions.
Extremely nice place very relaxing.
Thank you for the review of the cabin. Can you tell me why we got a 1* on hard to find? Did you not receive a map and keys at check in? Also, did someone call you at the time of booking to explain the only way we are different is check in at our office so you knew that up front? We also sent lots of communication through the Air B&B portal.
Please let me know what was the issue and thank you.
Patty's place was pretty cool. Had very neat antiques thru out for decoration. Loved the old phone in the coffee bar area. The Moose head above the fireplace was a unexpected treat. The game room was fun. The beds were comfortable the hot tub was nice. The house has a lot of fall in some areas of the floors. Wouldn't recommend for a older person that might lose balance easy. The hot tub area was nice and private but could use a awning over it for rainy days. The gutters need attention so the leaves kept blowing in the hot tub.The lighting needs brighter bulbs and some bulbs didn't work (stove and microwave) The yard offered horseshoes and a fire pit. Horseshoe back stops was falling over so we fixed them while we stayed. The fire pit was where we spent àlot of time but there was no way to scoop ashes out as instructed on checkout procedures. Overall though it is a beautiful original log cabin and we really enjoyed the charm of the antiques and the private location. I would stay again.
Nice cabin, floors are a bit uneven and walkways could be an easy trip hazard. Both bathrooms the shower heads could use a thorough cleaning, otherwise very well kept besides the occasional dust bunny here or there.
Really nice, secluded cabin. Would recommend.
The Hills O Brown provided the private and peaceful getaway location we were longing for. The hot tub was set up and ready to go, the game room was a perfect set up, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was well set up at the cabin, but the only thing that wasn’t up to par was the cleanliness. The place was extremely dusty/dirty, which included all of the kitchenware (plates, bowls, glassware) which we had to scrub before using. We also couldn’t utilize much of the outdoor seating due to a significant amount of bird feces on everything. This was frustrating, but we were still able to make it work and enjoy our time at Maple Hills.
Even though the weather wasnt the best during our stay, we enjoyed it, the cabin was cozy, we enjoyed just relaxing on the vouch in front of fire in firplace, during the stormy weather. We also enjoyed our time in town shopping and eating!! Everyone was so nice, we definitely will be coming back, and having a family trip...if we can find a bigger cabin...
Absolutely perfect cabin for a weekend getaway with friends! Close enough to town for dinner and shopping, but perfectly placed up on a hill in the woods where we felt secluded. Wonderful home with comfortable beds, adorable décoré, and in a great location! Will definitely be back!!
Perfect place to stay while exploring Nashville! Loved playing shuffleboard and hanging out in the hot tub. Hope to come back in the fall sometime.
The cabin was excellent! Very private, on a large wooded plot of land. The driveway is VERY steep, but we managed it in a little Honda Civic. If you have the option of a 4-wheel drive vehicle I'd advise bringing it if the weather is bad. The cabin itself was very clean, and very nicely equipped. We had everything we needed for a nice weekend away.
We visited during the off-season, which saved on the rental cost. One downfall is that some of the dining establishments weren't open or had limited hours and/or staff. If coming again outside of peak season, we'd plan to do most of the cooking right in the cabin rather than taking our chances with the local restaurants.
Check in is at the management company's offices, which is find except there is a relatively tight window. We couldn't check in until 4:00, and the office closes at 5:00. If you plan to arrive late, I advise calling ahead to arrange an after-hours check-in option.
This place was so pretty, loved the cabin! It feels very homey! My husband and I enjoyed the game room! Such a pretty location too!
We absolutely loved the cabin! Enjoyed the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
The cabin is conveniently located close to town but yet secluded with plenty of privacy. The driveway is steep but manageable . Loved the cabin itself clean, comfortable , peaceful with plenty to keep you entertained if needed.
Good little getaway spot.
Maple Hills log cabin was a wonderful spot for me, my mother and my aunt to stay for a few days. Plenty of room for us each to have our own space, plus have common spaces for relaxing and dining. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and plates. The coffee bar had plenty of regular coffee k-cups, but no decaf, and only one tea bag... luckily we had brought our own. Close to Brown County State Park and Nashville.
My boys and I love staying at this cabin! The pup can come with us and there’s plenty to do!
Maple Hill was cozy, clean, and comfortable. It was quiet in the woods. We would stay here again if headed to Brown County. Check in was quick and easy. No issues that we needed to contact Patty.
