Wake up in the morning in this historic log cabin to a view of misty hills and valleys. End your days with spectacular sunsets from large cabin windows and comfortable decks. From the newly remodeled kitchen and dining area, you can enjoy the Brown County vista. Only two miles north of downtown Nashville, on a beautiful ridge-top highway, the Overlook Cabin is easily accessible every month of the year.
Step through the front door and experience the charm of cherry-paneled living room walls, vaulted ceilings, a gas-log fireplace, and comfortable leather sofas. The adjoining kitchen feels almost like you’re outdoors with its huge windows that afford a view of the distant horizon. On this main level is where you’ll find bedroom #1, the master bedroom with a California king bed and updated bath.
An oak staircase takes you up to a balcony that overlooks the living room and leads to bedroom #2 with a queen and twin bed. This bedroom features large westward facing windows from which you can enjoy the beautiful Brown County scenery and sunsets. On the lower level, you will find a cozy TV room, foosball game, another bath, and an adjoining sitting room with a Jotul gas fireplace and queen Murphy bed (available with prior scheduling and additional fee per night for the entire stay).
Four outside decks allow you to relax at all times of the day. There is an expansive deck with a pergola, a covered deck, a gathering spot with a high-top table, and a hot tub deck. All decks open onto a western view of Brown County hills and valleys.
Throughout the cabin, you will enjoy the atmosphere provided by vintage furnishings and restful colors. The owners have equipped and decorated the cabin to provide a relaxing atmosphere and enjoyable experience.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES
#1 - Cancellations of a confirmed reservation must be made by the Guest who made the original reservation, not a representative of that Guest.
#2 - Reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to the arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total charges before tax, plus the $30 handling fee.
#3 - Reservations cancelled 8-14 days prior to arrival, you lose the deposit paid.
#4 - Reservations cancelled within 7 days of the arrival, there is NO REFUND!
#5 - When within 14 days of arrival, the reservation cannot be shortened or moved.
#6 - When within 7 days of arrival, reservations cannot be changed or altered. No exceptions.

#1 - The remaining balance will be due 7 days prior to check-in and will be automatically charged to the card on file. If you want a different charge card used for this balance, you must notify us before this balance is charged.
#2 - Refunds are not issued due to inclement weather, snow or acts of God that are out of our control.

This is a great spot for a relaxing getaway. The location is great, right outside of town. The view from the deck were amazing and the hot tub is a nice bonus. The check in process could be streamlined, as there is no key needed.

Great views from the second bedroom upstairs, highly recommend. Staff was friendly and helpful, no keys required making check-out super simple. Very nice kitchen and deck, overall a wonderful experience.
If we could give this location 10 stars, we absolutely would. This beautiful cabin is located in a truly magical spot. The view is incredible, the decks and porches make enjoying it (and the wildlife living in the woods surrounding it) fun and easy. If you are a birder this is the place for you! We spotted over 25 varieties at the feeders in the back yard. Lovely place, beautiful kitchen, very well maintained overall, just a couple of miles outside of town--but feels remote once you walk into the cabin, look across the great room and out the large back windows. We highly recommend!
Well-appointed Airbnb. Great views over the tree canopy. Wildlife abounds. Birds galore, one morning a deer about 20 yards from back deck, raccoons raiding the bird feeder, opossum nearby, even saw an approximately 4 foot unknown type of snake down the hill. Traffic noise during the day but at night not really an issue. Would recommend for families as well.
We loved staying at The Overlook! Everything was absolutely perfect. The most enjoyable things were the bird feeders and all of the birds we spotted, and the beautiful view from the decks. We will definitely reserve again!
