A charming cabin surrounded by pasture and quiet. Definitely worth the drive.
Wanted a place to get away and have a comfortable reunion for some college friends. The place was perfect. The location is a bit out there but that was part of the charm. Once we all made it the view of the lake and area was very relaxing. Coming in to music playing and the way the place was just setup was very warm and welcoming. Each room had a comfortable clean bed and the bathrooms were nice. Fireplace was used often and tv worked well. Hot tub was also used often and would all stay again!
We had a great time in this cabin for the weekend! The cabin was perfect provided everything we needed and the scenery was amazing. We have marked this cabin to hopefully be an annual stay for a girls weekend!
We loved it!!!!
Our stay at Bittersweet Farms was great! It was a little tricky to find for some of the girls, as you had mentioned the GPS wasn't super accurate and stopped all of us in different places depending on the direction we came from, so some of our group drove back and forth past it a couple times. A bigger address sign or a sign with the cabin name at the driveway would be helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by how well stocked the kitchen was, often the hodge podge of kitchen items in rentals are missing something really needed. There were only two cereal bowls which seemed weird since there were so many plates and cups. Maybe we just didn't look hard enough, but there were only two that were easily spotted. There was a bag of chips that didn't belong to us in the cabinet above the fridge, we just left them because we weren't sure if they were left behind or there for a reason. The cabin was really nice and the property was gorgeous, we enjoyed watching the herd of cows each evening. The decor was a little creepy with the cage on the wall and the baby shoes. There was hair in the brush on the dresser which I can only assume was a prank from a previous renter, but sort of gross nonetheless. Overall we had a great time and would definitely choose this cabin again!
