Stayed here with 12 adults and 5 kids and there was enough room for everyone. We enjoyed spending time out on the patio during the day and used the fire pit at night. Nice option for big groups who want to be close to campus and Monroe Lake.
Nice Airbnb- had some difficulty communicating directly to the hosts. Overall a good stay. A little far away from campus and ubers were hard to find.
My group really enjoyed our stay at Scenic View Lodge. The location is great for outdoor activities near Lake Monroe. It is walking distance to a restaurant, a short drive to Paynetown State Park, and 20 minutes from downtown Bloomington. Highly recommend for a larger group!
The stay was great - thank you! Great location and massive home that sleeps plenty.
There was no working wi-fi or cable.
We had a wonderful time at the Scenic View Lodge this past weekend.
Lots of room. Located nicely
The house was perfect for the large group. Great access to Bloomington and Lake Monroe.
Let me start off by saying that we had a GREAT post pandemic family gathering at The Scenic View. A total of 18 slept at the house one couple slept in town. Our group included 9 children ages 5 to 15 and there was plenty of inside space for us all. We spent most of our time in the oversized dinning room, eating, playing games and learning new things. We had a fabulous birthday party and an awesome Juneteenth Celebration. The fire pit and tented patio was a great feature.
I actually took a survey of 5 of the male youth who were there and they gave you an average of 8.25 out of 10 points. As anticipated, you were dinged because the TV didn't work the first night (Parents were happy), the WiFi was "iffy" and one would have preferred a private bedroom:-). The truth is that they only found time for one movie night. It was much more fund playing with cousins.
The kitchen appliances and supplies were very adequate and the house was clean. There was adequate parking for 6 cars. When we arrived the air conditioner in the efficiency was not working and we were a little concerned when the repairman left without telling us he would return. Your staff responded to our call about the air conditioner and the TV. Both were taken care of. We happened to have been there the night of the worst storm and flooding in Bloomington's recent history (I think) and we had some flooding in a couple of rooms. I was awake most of the night since I slept in one of the large bedrooms with large windows. Beautiful view of Lake Monroe and the hills but I was too terrified to get out of bed during the storm. The next morning I learned that a couple of kids and a parent had gotten up to watch the storm. (Entertainment???). When called the next morning you came, wet-vacuumed the carpet in the flooded room and hooked up a big fan to dry the carpet.
The only criticism that I heard the adult participants was that they didn't think we had adequate bedroom arrangements for the number of couples we had. There was also a couple of weak/broken chairs in the dinning room and they felt it would have helped to know that there was only a small grassy area for ball games.
Bottom line is that we all had a wonderful time and everyone would love to do it again!
Place was great it had so much space to fit all of us and lots of great spaces for us to gather. It was very clean when we got there and she left was very easy to communicate with .

Great house, great space!

Thank you for the great hospitality! We enjoyed it!
At first I was put off by how much this unit costs per night. However, when we had 15 people, it was $61 per night each (less that a hotel) and we had this HUGE lodge with individual beds and baths. Was a great location to Bloomington, Indiana University and a day of boating on Lake Monroe. I HIGHLY suggest this unit.
