Schooner Creek Cabin | Near Nashville • Hot Tub

I have stayed at this cabin before and have had no issues. This time there were even some minor upgrades in the form of better televisions. However on this particular visit we found the cabin, while clean at first glance to be in need of some much overdue deep cleaning. Also, while we expect a fly or bug here or there, when we went to the loft and upstairs bedroom areas it was almost as if we had stepped into a scene from the Amityville Horror. Numerous flies buzzing in the windows, even more dead flies on the floor and bedside table and other tables. We had to kill several wasps upstairs as well. There were so many dead flies on the floor that it rendered the upstairs and game room area almost unusable. We also had to deal with many gnats as well. It was if the doors had been left open for an extended period and I’m not really sure why there were so many flies. It just gave this usually endearing cabin a not so clean and things just felt off this time. We did make the best of it and did enjoy our stay still but it’s just sad to see such a special cabin that had a specific charm, be left in this condition. Hopefully this was a temporary issue.

My sister, her adult daughter, her 6 year oldGranddaughter, my adult daughter & me did a2 days weekend trip. We shopped,ate & visited. It was off the grid & perfect. We loved the cabin, how quiet it was, how close to town it was & the dollar game! Great stay!

It's a beautiful place slightly secluded, which was nice. The house was comfortable. We liked the pool table and hot tub. There's no WIFI and very spotty cell service, so be aware of that prior to booking. I wish it had a bonfire pit, that seems like something obvious to have for a wilderness retreat. I also wish there were some local recommendations of restaurants and such. If you're not familiar with the area, it would be difficult to know where to go and what to do. Proximity to Brown County State Park was wonderful! It was a nice spot for a retreat.

The place was awesome and very well kept. Will use again.

This is our 3rd time staying at the Schooner Creek Log Cabin. We enjoy ourselves every time. It is very accommodating to our needs/wants. A very cozy and relaxing stay. We love that it is on a dead end road as to limit the amount of traffic. We love playing pool and relaxing in the hot tub and swinging on the front porch. The good Lord willing we will be back again.

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay at the Schooner Creek Cabin over the Christmas ‘23 holiday! The emails that we received from Hills O’ Brown were extremely helpful in answering any questions we had concerning what we needed to do in preparation for our visit. It was a very smooth and easy process from start to finish and we will definitely be using Hills O’ Brown for any future stays that we plan. The cabin was very cozy and the added touch of the lights and music being on when we got there made it so inviting when we walked in. We were so happy that there was a Christmas tree in the living room and every other room was decorated nicely for the holidays. And lastly, but most importantly, we were also very impressed with the cleanliness of everything! Our stay was peaceful and pleasant and left us with some good memories that we will share with our friends and family. Thank you for making our stay as well as the entire process an enjoyable experience! You did an amazing job!

First and foremost, thank you for such a wonderful stay! My best friend and I take a trip yearly. We celebrate friendship and take a break from being mamas and truly enjoy each other’s company. We got to our cabin late, due to work and travel and needless to say, we’re so glad we did! We drove up to the cabin all lit up and so inviting! You could smell the cleanliness upon walking in and it was SO cozy! The fall decor was such a sweet touch and the hiding of the dollar was a fun adventure! The hot tub was wonderful for the cool evening and the screened in porch was so cute. There truly are no bad things to be said about our stay. Not having WiFi was an adjustment as we are mamas and fear our families needing us, but all in all it was a blessing to truly unwind. We can’t thank you enough for a cozy getaway. The info given after confirmation and prior to checking in was super helpful and appreciated. We hope to come back again another year!

My friends & I enjoyed the visit very much! One thing that disappointed us was that the hot tub was only for 2-people-maybe it said that in the description & I missed it but other than that it was wonderful. We did have cell phone service problems but it was ok

The cabin was a much better option for us for IU graduation. Plenty of space and privacy with a short ride to campus. Beautiful area!

An amazing and tranquil cabin to stay at. If you are wanting to disconnect and have peace and quiet this is the right place. Very close to all Nashville has to offer. The hiking trails in the State Park were lovely as well. 10/10
