Serenity Cabin | 20 Acre • Hot Tub • Fishing Ponds

We had a great, relaxing weekend. We went to town a few times, but mainly for groceries. The weather was absolutely perfect and none of us care much about shopping, so we cooked our own food at the cabin, built fires in the fire pit and just relaxed and enjoyed our time together. We met in high school in 1967-68 - 58 years ago. ❤️ Thank you for a great place to stay.

We picked a good one! This cabin has several areas for groups to gather—-a large outdoor deck, a smaller outdoor deck with hot tub, a screened in porch, a 4 season porch, the living area and a large kitchen table. If you’re looking for a place with good cell service, this is not what you want. We found one spot on the outdoor deck where we were able to get spotty service. The only complaint that we had (and it’s minor) is that the ice maker produces very little ice. It just makes one layer of ice in the tray and doesn’t make any more. We would definitely go back!

We loved the cabin very clean and quiet, very peaceful. The pond was very nice, loved that we didn't have to go anywhere. And the deer we seen was so beautiful. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being so nice at check in and check out.

Unfortunately the entire town of Nashville lost power during our stay. We missed out on the town, but enjoyed the space in this Airbnb.

We had a wonderful stay at the Serenity cabin! The home is beautiful and was very clean when we arrived. The property was amazing, with a great view from the back windows.
I might suggest placing a couple of hooks for towels, perhaps in the bathroom. We reuse our shower towels to save on laundry, so we hung them over a door. Internet would have been nice. We had trouble accessing our hotspots and wanted to look a few things up for information while we were there. We were just surprised to learn we would not have internet service there. Overall, we are very happy with Hills O'Brown Vacation Rentals. Very friendly and helpful staff and communication before our stay was spot on. I even got to wear a crown and get a happy birthday song when we picked up our key!

The cabin was beautiful and very spacious. The view out the back deck was wonderful. I wish we would have booked a little later in the month so we could experience it in full autumn.

The place was super cute and serene. Very peaceful and super close to everything!

The home was beautifully updated. The decor perfectly aligned with the rustic log cabin but modern remodel. Lots of patio/deck space to enjoy nature and relax. Hot tub was a nice touch. A very short 10 minute drive to downtown Nashville, IN.

HI there! We stayed in the Serenity Cabin this past weekend and I have to say, we fell in love with it! It was absolutely adorable and much bigger than we had anticipated - the outside is deceiving! Several reviews had commented on the "steps everywhere" and yes, there are little steps in a lot of places but for us, it just added to the charm. It's definitely not for someone who has mobility issues but 2 steps up is not a big deal for many. I would not let that deter anyone from choosing this wonderful cabin! The master bedroom bed was like sleeping on a cloud! I heard the same about the Queen bed in one of the other rooms. We LOVED the kitchen and the table where we played cards both nights. This cabin truly was darling. Probably our "only" frustration was the WiFi / or lack thereof but we all decided, "Hey, we're on vacation, it's okay if we can't get text or email!" Forcing us to be "unplugged" allowed (or maybe forced!) us to be more present in the moment. This was a sisters / daughters weekend and it was just what we needed! Thank you to the owners for sharing their gem with us!

This is a cabin about 4 miles outside the town of Nashville IN. Far enough away to feel peaceful and secluded, but close enough to town to enjoy all the Nashville has to offer. The cabin was clean, the beds were quite comfy and the kitchen was large and well appointed. We also enjoyed the hot tub both nights of our stay. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs, two steps up to each bedroom, two steps down to the kitchen. If you have serious mobility issues this might not be the space for you. Also, phone coverage was spotty, but that might just be an advantage if you re looking to disconnect! Otherwise, its a wonderful way to enjoy a getaway, big enough for a fun girl's weekend, cozy enough for a romantic getaway.

Stayed with my daughter, my sister and her daughter. We had a wonderful time. No Wifi but it was nice to have peace and quiet. Watched movies while sitting by the fire.

Lovely cabin. Well stocked. Great location, secluded, yet close to town. Adding Wi-Fi would be our only request for another visit.
Emails provided are very helpful. Check out information in the cabins is very helpful as well.

We look forward to this trip yearly! Our cabin we typically rent was booked and we found this on VRBO! It was perfect and will now be our “preferred” cabin! The kitchen as amazing and ideal for our cookie baking adventures! Thank you for a wonderful time!

A good place for a restful stay with friends.

This property was very comfortable and included so many amenities! We loved the kitchen table and all the decks, hot tub and screened porches! It was so quiet and yet so very convenient to the “downtown” shopping area. Loved our time there!

Thank you for the stay. The cabin was lovely. I enjoyed having the homey space and the chickens greeting us every morning when we walked out was way too fun

Had a wonderful time. The cabin was perfect for us 4 ladies. Some may find the few steps up and down in this cabin to be inconvenient, we found that it added to the character of the cabin. They cabin was complete with everything we could possibly want or need. Absolutely loved the deck with the views. The deer in the yard and the free roaming chickens were a huge bonus. The fact that we could get away from the hub bub of the city life and enjoy nature while only being 10 minutes from town was the clincher for us. It's so peaceful there. We loved it and hope to return again in the future.

Had a fantastic trip with my girlfriend and old friends from Missouri. We loved the porch/patio and spent the majority of our time there. It was beautiful, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for!

The cabin was perfect. Lots of room and clean. It was comfortable and gave my two best friends a chance to get to know each other...It was a wonderful time. We visited Hard Truth and enjoyed the music. This could be a yearly gathering for us. I would highly recommend the cabin to all my friends. Thank you!!

I cannot say enough positive things about this cabin! We thought the pics were cute online, but it's even better in "real life". The check-in process was easy, and the ladies in the office were so friendly, even while they were dealing with power outages from recent storms. They explained everything well, and made sure we were set. We were visited by chickens, who we later found out belong to a neighbor. Deer sightings, and music provided by so many different types of birds, and frogs. The ponds are great, although we didn't fish. Kitchen is absolutely gorgeous, and stocked with more than we needed. Definitely plan to return. Thanks for having us!

Overall very nice. Not good for mobiility impaired though. Parking is right by the front door which is nice. Enter into main bedroom. 2 steps down into living room. 2 hallways into kitchen, both with 2 steps down. Bunkroom and other bedroom are 3 steps up. Great view from kitchen and very large rear deck. No cell service in the house but worked outside most of the time. Very quiet. Several deer by the ponds and neighbors chickens in the yard every morning. Cabin is well furnished, plenty of dishes and utensils. Beds are VERY soft which didnt work for me but wife liked it.

Very quaint, yet modern and well appointed cabin. Great area close to Nashville, IN. A good drive from IU which is where we were spending most our time so plan accordingly.

Overall our stay was good. The TV/cable system was not the best and checking in could/should be a lot simpler. Also there are no hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels and bath rugs for getting out of the shower.

It was a great place for a ladies getaway. Quiet, with all the comfort you need for your stay. Beds were extremely soft, furniture comfortable, and everything worked as expected. About 4 miles from town, so close enough to run back if you forgot something.
As a side note, Do Not waste your time going to the Gatesville Country store!!! It is exactly opposite of anything you read in the review of it.

We recently stayed at Serenity Vacation cabin. Upon our arrival, we noticed how clean and well kept it was. Someone has obviously made a great effort to make sure it is well decorated and furnished. I was very impressed with the high quality appliances. None of us had ever used an induction oven or stove but we were able to fumble our way thru to get our meals cooked and baked. I recommend the owners create a quick tips sheet and maybe post it on the frig so others don’t struggle like we did.
The grounds are gorgeous. Ordinarily, when we visit Brown County and rent a cabin, we leave and go hiking at the state park. We didn’t need to do that this time. The grounds provided plenty of hiking and beautiful sites to explore. We especially enjoyed the three small ponds on the property. Had the weather been warmer, we probably would have walked up the road a bit to see other sites. We were thankful for Dish Network and the ability to keep up on local news especially since we were able to learn about the winter storm that was moving into the state. All of us agree this was the best cabin we have ever stayed in (I think this is our 4th?) and we will definitely stay there again.
