Stone Head Ridge is a lovely log cabin built of locally-grown poplar, dovetail-notched logs. This cabin has everything you need to enjoy a little getaway time in Brown County, ensuring you a bit of well-deserved R & R. Park the car, and head to the front door with your bags and groceries, and you may soon decide to spend your entire visit right here.
The large open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen is spacious, yet cozy for a group of 2 to 4 guests. Chilly autumn and winter days will be made lots more fun if you build a fire in the wood-burning stove, and snuggle in the comfy chairs or sofa. If you’re here when the weather is warm and sunny, then you’re going to love sitting out on the screened porch. You can access the porch from the main living area on the main floor, so open up the door and let the fresh air fun commence!
Stainless steel appliances, a walk-in pantry, and plenty of counter space in the kitchen will encourage Stone Head Ridge guests to experiment with a new recipe or two, or simply make a batch of brownies for all to enjoy. There’s ample room to lay out the cook’s offerings… ample room to lay out offerings in the kitchen or at the dining table. Some folks have been known to use one table for meals, and the other for creative pursuits such as scrapbooking, sewing, making hand-tied fishing lures, or family game night. What will be your preference? Besides all this, you’ll find a powder room conveniently located near the kitchen, as well.
When bedtime rolls around, it’ll be just a short climb up the stairs to jump into your jammies and crawl into bed. The master bedroom features a comfy queen bed, a dresser, and a TV. The second bedroom is outfitted with a king bed... great for the kiddos or another couple you may have invited to come along. No waiting for the shower though, as both bedrooms have their own private adjoining bathrooms.
Don’t forget your swimsuits, because you’ll want to take a leisurely soak in the bubbling hot tub. Enjoying the views of the surrounding wooded hills as you’re relaxing in the hot tub is an indulgence everyone should allow themselves to have. Pass the evening gathered around the campfire pit and share stories of the glory days, as you roast the perfect hot dog or marshmallow.
If you DO decide you can tear yourself away from this gorgeous property, you may want to visit The Story Inn for dinner, or hike some pretty trails in Brown County State Park. Horseback riding, mountain biking, ATV tours, paintball skirmishes, and fishing are all outdoor activities that you can enjoy while spending a few days in our area. Nashville has numerous restaurants, and plenty of shops to tempt you, too.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES
#1 - Cancellations of a confirmed reservation must be made by the Guest who made the original reservation, not a representative of that Guest.
#2 - Reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to the arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total charges before tax, plus the $30 handling fee.
#3 - Reservations cancelled 8-14 days prior to arrival, you lose the deposit paid.
#4 - Reservations cancelled within 7 days of the arrival, there is NO REFUND!
#5 - When within 14 days of arrival, the reservation cannot be shortened or moved.
#6 - When within 7 days of arrival, reservations cannot be changed or altered. No exceptions.
Deposit Policy
RESERVATIONS
#1 - The remaining balance will be due 7 days prior to check-in and will be automatically charged to the card on file. If you want a different charge card used for this balance, you must notify us before this balance is charged.
#2 - Refunds are not issued due to inclement weather, snow or acts of God that are out of our control.

We loved the cabin..it was actually so much nicer than the pictures conveyed!
The only downside, was our phones had ZERO reception..& of course, no Wi-Fi in cabin, which is ideal for most people wanting to get away on respite… was just a bit concerning if there was emergency.
The cabin, however, provided all the comforts needed & it was so cozy!!
We wished the weather was warmer so we could have enjoyed the screened porch, but will have to return when it warms up outside. We will definitely stay again!

Location was great with close proximity to state park, Nashville and Bloomington. Cabin was very clean and furnished with everything we needed. Hot tub currently has some issues but overall, very pleased with this cabin and would definitely come back.

Cabin was wonderfully decorated. We had everything we needed plus some. The spot of the cabin with the screened in porch was relaxing and beauitful. Beds were comfortable, house was very spacious, hot tub amazing, fire pit was nice and a nice swing on the tree.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Stonehead Ridge Log Cabin.
One feedback note on the cabin itself. Having wi-fi would have been nice, but we were perfectly fine with the thought of unplugging. However, given that there was no wi-fi, it would have been nicer to have had brighter lighting so we could better read the books or work on the puzzle we brought. It was too dim for us do to those things.
As far as your emails to me regarding the reservation prior to arrival. I was perfectly happy with them. I got the information I needed without getting too many emails. It would have been nice to be forewarned what amenities our particular cabin provided (no wi-fi; paper towels, tp, trash bags provided; fridge with filtered water, etc) so we could do a better job of packing.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and your office was super helpful and welcoming.

We very much enjoyed our cabin this past weekend. It was lovely and so cozy, it was a beautiful home and under different circumstances I’m sure it would have been a wonderful anniversary trip.
